Dreams

Have you had any dream? No, not those dream that you have when you sleep. What I meant is those Dream of being free financially. Dream of having the money and time to travel anytime and anywhere that you want. Dream of living in your dream house and driving your dream car.
I had recently had an opportunity to listen to a speaker Mr Ramesh from Adam Khoo Learing Centre. Mr Ramesh R is an certified NLP speaker. He had won several awards which I do not wish to give him the credits here. heheheh., sorry Ramesh. Just want some people to find you themselve.
There is a lot of things that Mr Ramesh spoke about. But his parting remarks really stay put in my mind. And that is about Dream. Let me share with you. Perhaps, it can motivate you in some way or others. Here it is:
"Dreams your own dream, it will be a reality someday. If you don't dream your dream, who will" Ramesh from Adam Khoo Learning Centre

What have you learnt today?

Recently, my company gave all employees a note book. This notebook has no line in every page. It only have some box graphic with this word : Today I learned: (We are then suppose to jot down what we have learn today). Personally, I find that it is a nice gesture of the management to think of this idea. We are free to pen down what we had learned on daily basis. Be it concern our duties in our jobs, our colleague job or anything that we take as a learning process. As a human being, we tends to forget, so by having this little note book which is smaller than an A4 size paper, we can always jot it down and refer to it anytime when there is a need.
I reckon if anyone who open minded, will find that this life is a process of learning. Everyday, we see things around us. Due to our dignity, ignorance or simply boh chap attitude, we just refuse to take it as a learning process. In the event, we sometimes fail to take it as a sign for us to progress to be a better person.

We can learn from anyone, be it a road sweeper or a director general. Every individual have their own uniqueness that somehow, somewhere we can learn something from them. So always ask youself before you start your day "What can you learnt today?" If you do this often, it a way, you will look at things differently and thus make yourself into a positive person.

Today, after getting the notebook, I had learnt that anything that we face in our daily life is a learning journey which will always be an ongoing journey. A journey for us to remember and to be a better person if not for others, it will be for ourselve.

Success Equation

As you guys know, being an employee can be a very stressful event in our life. I had been one till now. :( Unfortunately! :(
But the company that I worked for is not too bad an employer. We were encourage to attend courses which the company paid for. So being me, ever hunger for new information and knowledge, I was pretty happy with this system even some of my colleague were complaining.
Recently, I had attended a course "Working Effectively with your Supervisor". I choose to attend this course as I had a very difficult supervisor which lately had caused me stressed.
The Speaker is a MBA who owns his own training company. He is Mr Harithas S.
I am not going to share the content of the course, it will take the whole day to write. What I want to share is about the speaker and his success formula. Mr Harithas was a recipient of A lifelong Learner Award in year 2002 in Singapore. He was formerly a Driver to a CEO with only 1 GCE O level. He has a vast experienced such as Deep Sea Diver and other menial worker. With his desire to upgrade himself due to pressure from the neighbours and his own community, he signed up himself for a certificate course and gradually continued till he achieved his master. It takes him 12 years to achieve all this. Currently , he is doing his PHD while juggling as trainer for Govt organisation, the private sector and also lecturing at some higher learning institution.
I am not marketing for him neither am I getting anything from him for this write up. My point is that he inspired me with his lifelong learning journey. Mr Harithas has this motto that he imprint on his name card. 1T + 5D = Success. So what is the 1T and 5D. T is stand for Talent. Everyone of us has a Talent. Each human being is created very unique to themselves. With the plus of the 5D, each individual can achieve Success. Then what is the 5D?. The first stands for DESIRE If you desire something, example, a latest PSP3, I believe you will work hard for it. Its either you will save some money for it, sacrifice other minor desire to achieve it. Second D is stand for DRIVE. So your DESIRE for the PSP3 will DRIVE you to do anything to reach your goal. In the event, if you notice you will discover all your hidden talents in this process. Next come the DETERMINATION. What DRIVE you to achieve your DESIRE, surely you need a lot of DETERMINATION to achieve the first D. One need a lot of determination to achieve one goals. Without it, many goals could not be fulfilled. The 4th D is DISCIPLINE. Most of the successful person in life will tell you that they are very Discipline in whatever they do plus those other 3 D help them to be successful. Not to be missed is the 5th D and that is DEDICATION. We put our effort with dedication, then we will feel that what we do is not a burden. With this we grow to be a better person in what ever we do. The formula that Mr Harithas share is somewhat most of us had been practising with to really realise the power of it to achieve SUCCESS. I'm happy to share this information not just for others but to remind me of it myself. We are actually practically practising this in our life without really think of the action and that action if we behold in our mind can make us achieve success all the time. So before signing off, here are the formula again in short. 1T +5D = SUCCESS and that spelt out as TALENT + DESIRE, DRIVE, DETERMINATION, DISCIPLINE and DEDICATION will in one way or another equal to SUCCESS.
Success to you!
